At Häuslein, we were committed to selecting only the highest quality building materials, which will stand the test of time. Functionality, durability, beauty and sustainability are factors we considered in our choices and which made us one of Australia’s favourite tiny house manufacturing companies. We used only solid timbers and plywoods in our builds which are superior to many products on the market!
From the moment you open the front door until you lay your head down in your queen-sized master bed, you'll enjoy every aspect of our small but luxurious homes. At every stage of our build process we have paid close attention to detail to ensure that the finished product is just right.
Our experienced tradesmen were master craftsmen, manufacturing almost every aspect of our tiny houses in-house, using quality tools for the most precise and beautiful finishes. They chose only the best materials and worked in a controlled workshop environment to ensure every tiny home was of the highest quality. Our tiny houses were designed & built right here in Australia and compliant with the Vehicle Standards Bulletin 1.

We offered base designs and variations to suit a host of uses and preferences. We included optional innovations, unique to our company, such as the slide-out feature, further enhancing liveability and that next level feel you look for in a high quality dwelling. We also offered the flexibility to tweak these to ensure each tiny house suited the customer perfectly.
As one of Australia’s earliest established Tiny House companies and with the experience gained by having two of our company founders living full time in a Grand Sojourner tiny house with their kids – we put the best of our knowledge into every design component so that our customers can enjoy hosting guests or living in their tiny house, well after the novelty has worn off.
Affordable PriceS
Housing affordability has been a growing issue facing many Australians so pricing was important to us. Our goal was to provide quality housing at an affordable price. Imagine being able to fully pay off your tiny home in 4 - 5 years instead of 30! Did you know you can often park a tiny house (built on a trailer) in your backyard and legally have a member of your household live in it full time without requiring DA Approval? Check your State level and local council legislation.
The tiny houses we offered were designed to be affordable and to last & age well, holding their value.
Downsizing doesn’t have to mean decreasing your quality of living. A tiny house can offer all the mod cons and comforts, like air-conditioning and dishwasher, that you may not even have in your current home. You also have the option to go off grid, enabling you to virtually eliminate many of those ongoing bills.

Incredible flexibility
A tiny house opens up so many opportunities with an array of possible uses. A tiny house can be your full time home, can be used as granny flat, occasional guest accommodation, a weekend retreat, a home office or can provide you with rental income on Airbnb.
Add to this the fact that they are easily relocatable (legally a ‘caravan’ & therefore road registerable & built to be able to travel), and suddenly you have freedoms that a traditional home could never offer.
When customers needed extra space on a suburban block, or wanted to go fully off-grid out in the wild, our little homes were a perfect option for many, built from the best quality materials we could find to aid longevity in any setting and reduce waste. They were able to be connected easily to either mains or off-grid power & water sources and could include a traditional flush, incinerator or composting toilet.
Our tiny homes were not only luxurious, highly functional and beautiful, but adaptable to a host of different settings. No wonder so many Australians chose this wonderful and simplified way of living!
